We had a total of 15 veterans participate in our Veterans Equine Warrior Program. A new group of nine veterans took part in the program in September over the course of one weekend at Alliance Equestrian Center. A group of six veterans returned to Alliance Equestrian Center in October after having initially participated in the program in the fall of 2020.
We held a total of 33 outings/events, which included separate ones for military spouses (40 individuals attended); veterans and service members (107 attended); military couples (76 individuals attended); and military families (55 families attended). A total of 549 individuals attended these combined events; of these 100 were under the age of 18 and attended our military family events.
We connected one veteran, who lives on Martha’s Vineyard with his wife, to a service dog, Vegas, through our Canine Co-Pilot Program.
